The coffee label corresponds to my mural, entitled "Flicker Moment" completed at the Institute in their new Art & Nature Lab. Discover more about the mural project by clicking on this image.
Project Parameters
I was asked to create this label for The Roger Tory Peterson Institute’s new line of coffee products, corresponding to the mural I painted over Summer 2021. Its final form is a 3.5 x 4-inch sticker label on a paper bag. I created a custom type for the flavor title “Morning Flicker” based on the existing RTPI logo font. Following strict guidelines, I incorporated the Smithsonian “Bird-Friendly” stamp of approval as well as the roastery company’s logo. I made a feather scale to visually identify the coffee as “Light Roast” while tying into the bird theme.
The overall design comprises of the golden flicker from the mural and a bright sun cresting over a silhouette of the Institute campus.

Fundraiser Apparel
Allegany State Park
The final t-shirt design.
A selection of available styles and colors
Project Parameters
I was asked to create this design for Allegany State Park’s Centennial Celebration and annual Allegany Nature Pilgrimage. The final usage is a full-back print on t-shirts and other apparel. The shirt is a fundraiser for the Pilgrimage so to maximize profits, the design only uses one color, saving on ink costs. The design has enough contrast so that Pilgrimage-goers will be able to customize shirt and ink color options.
The design consists of iconic scenes from the Park. The Stone Tower is the main shape, framing other familiar scenes: the covered bridge, a cabin (Weller Trail), the fire tower, and the Administration building with fir trees and a kayaker on the lake. In the center is a rose compass with the old Park’s maple leaf. Inside is a silhouette of a bear walking by a tree with a woodpecker. Above, a night sky features a telescope and the constellations viewable on June 3th at11:45pm (the first night of nature pilgrimage). Ospreys, which are common sights at the Park, hold the banner.
The shirts are expected to print in May 2022.
Merch for William Montgomery
Stand-up Comedian
Project Parameters
I created two merchandise design concepts featuring the stand-up comedian William Montgomery. Final usage includes apparel and small promotional items to sell via his online store. I also animated the designs into GIFs for social media content.
